Improv
With 10+ years of performance and training, and 7+ years of teaching experience, Zachary is enthusiastic about sharing his improv comedy stylings with Calgary. Book him now for a corporate event, where he’ll assemble an all star team of performers that will cater to your needs. He can teach team building workshops, host murder mystery events, or simply put on a great comedy show for a company party. Email for rates. Line Dancing
Zachary teaches line dance lessons 3 nights a week at the iconic Ranchmans Bar. Thursday nights he teaches an Intermediate level lesson from 7:30-8:30pm. You can catch his Beginner level classes on Thursdays from 9-10pm, or on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:45pm-12:15am. Zachary has experience teaching at schools, corporate events and weddings! You can book a private or group lesson with him through email. Rates vary depending on group size and location.

Zachary Dean Friesen was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. He started training in improv comedy at the tender age of 15 at the Loose Moose Theatre. He began producing his own shows at just 17, and continued to perform and produce in Vancouver, after he moved there for acting school in 2018 and receiving honours with distinctions from VanArts. Since relocating back to Calgary in 2021, he’s built up his resume as a host doing trivia events, and has continued to produce and perform in his own monthly improv show. He has also taught line dancing for the iconic Ranchman’s bar and for the City of Calgary, as well as for private functions.
